How Do You Support Yourself While Pursuing Your Dreams?

How’s your summer going so far?  Or your winter, if you’re down under.  Mine has been strangely busier than expected, but productive, for the most part.  The productive part is difficult to explain to many people who think I just hang out at the beach and dabble in the arts. Family and friends think I’m overly attached to my computer and the internet, which I’m sure is how it appears.  When you write it helps to have a computer.  Years ago it would have been a typewriter and perhaps the...

My 7 Links Post for Tripbase

My friend Sonia, at Gutsy Living, nominated me for the 7 Links Post that Tripbase started “to unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.” How could I pass that up?  We all have posts that deserve to be shared again, but some of the categories I found harder than others.  I hope you’ll like the ones I’ve chosen and I would love to hear your feedback. Never give up your dreams!

I am re-posting a newly edited version from last summer because we are in the midst of a major heatwave in our area and the only place that is somewhat spared is right along the coastline. This will be a short post to simply say Happy 4th of July to all my U.S. friends.   We are a young country and this time of year is very special.  Independence!  We are so fortunate that our fore fathers fought and worked so hard to establish independence for this country and that we, The United States of America, have continued to be the example for countries all over the world who seek Democracy and Freedom. We haven’t gotten it right all the time.  We are still struggling with ‘Freedom for All’ but as my last...
