This will be a short post today. It is Labor Day weekend here in the U.S. of A. and I’m going to be relaxing and reflecting for the next few days. I hope, wherever you are, you have the opportunity to do the same.
It’s a great weekend to enjoy a good book and I’ve recently read three excellent ones. I’ve reviewed them all on Amazon.
Bristol Boyz Stomp, by Doreen McGettigan, is a compelling true story of her brother’s murder and a close-up look at our justice system. I couldn’t put it down.
Freeways to Flip-flops, by Sonia Marsh, is a family’s journey to find a more meaningful life on the tropical island of Belize. As a mother of sons I connected on many levels to this story.
Slices of Life, The Art and Craft of Memoir Writing, by Cheryl Butler Stahl, is an excellent road map to your own story. Her style of writing is relaxed and helpful whether you plan to publish large or just write your story for your nearest and dearest.
